Abstract

A study is presented resulting from the Thesis in option to the scientific degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, which covers the first years of the Revolution in power, approximately between 1959 and 1980, and the actions developed by the leaders of the social process, especially of the heroine Vilma Espín Guillois and Dr. Armando Hart Dávalos, then appointed as Minister of Education, to promote the development of Education in the national territory, particularly School Hygiene. The first results of what was later called intersectoriality between the Ministries of Education and Health are evident.
