Abstract

The term interdisciplinarity has been addressed in recent years by researchers, not only in the educational sector, but this has been the subject of analysis from different angles, given the importance it regains before the rapid development of science and technology. Thus it is observed that they have contributed elements of great interest for a better understanding of the relationship that occurs between all the phenomena and processes that occur around us. Under current conditions, interdisciplinarity is of great importance, which is why the need to comply with certain requirements is valued, among which is the conception of an interdisciplinary approach as the didactic condition that responds to the nature of the knowledge of the different subjects and the need to integrate them from the teaching-learning process. The purpose of this article is to determine the theoretical foundations that underpin the treatment of interdisciplinarity, taking into account the new challenges and perspectives of the III Improvement of the National Education System in the current times.
