DETECTION OF THE CHILD TALENT IN THE FIRST CHILDHOOD, FROM THE INSTITUTIONAL CONTEXT

This work offers starting from integral care in early childhood, a systematization of the main contributions to the conceptualization of talent from different contexts and historical moments, highlighting those provided by Cuban scholars and the differentiated attention that should be given. The changes throughout the history in the concept of the talent influenced notably in the identification of its characteristics. Talented children are the most valuable resource of society, because they will be the future artists, authors, politicians and scientists, it is necessary to give them adequate attention and to develop their enormous potential, attending to their diversity. Indicators are provided for educators, who have the opportunity to identify and enhance their talent, as well as suggestions to the family, to guide them and to support them in the care they give their children with Special Educational Needs.
