Diversity in the classroom context: current trends and challenges

The present work focuses on the analysis of the different conceptions of diversity in the classroom context, considering the various contributions that the scientific community establishes and that reflect the importance of an objective, clear and well-defined analysis. A set of contributions of research results evidenced in scientific articles and undergraduate and postgraduate theses are taken into consideration, where information is collected on a series of aspects related to school diversity, applying bibliographic and documentary methodology. The result of this bibliographical analysis is complemented with arguments and contributions resulting from experiences and experiences established in the author's middle and higher education school environment, which reflect the close reality of what diversity represents and the importance that this has in the Ecuadorian educational system. It is necessary to consider the importance that this aspect reflects in the educational sector, considering that the issue of inclusion is currently in force, as an important and transcendent reference for education.
