THE PREPARATION OF THE TEACHER FOR THE EDUCATION OF THE FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM

One of the strengths of the Cuban Educational System is that since the Constitution of the Republic, the Childhood and Youth Code and the Family Code, the close relationship that must exist between educational institutions and the family has been legislated. Hence the necessary preparation that the teacher must have for family education.
This article refers to the results of an investigation carried out at the Dora Alonso school for children with autism. We worked with a total of 20 teachers. The application of empirical instruments, with a predominance of the qualitative, revealed that teachers do not have the necessary preparation to conduct the process of family education. The course taught and the results obtained are presented.
