Abstract

In the current transformations and conditions of Education in Cuba, there is a need for ways and alternatives to achieve an effective oral expression in students in English classes, in order to facilitate adequate communication in the foreign language and in the mother tongue. The teaching of English is a fundamental link in the comprehensive preparation of future professionals of Cuban education, this implies the competent training of these in communication skills, especially oral expression. In English classes today, there are marked difficulties in oral communication by students. For this reason, the objective of this work is: to reflect on the theoretical and methodological components that sustain oral expression in the contemporary English class in Higher Secondary Education.
