Abstract

When talking about metacognition, we faced a controversial and complex term, but it is necessary to deepen to understand the processes related to learning and how they occur in students with talented potential. For the psychopedagogues of the Diagnostic and Guidance Centers (CDO), metacognition is essential in the care of these students, and requires mastery not only of the student themselves but also of the teachers who work with them and their families. In the following article we will be reflecting on some theoretical elements related to metacognition and the role of the psychopedagogy specialty of CDOs.
