Abstract

This article addresses the necessary actions to mitigate disruptions caused by emergencies, whether natural or man-made, before, during and after their occurrence. It is important to highlight that emergencies have a significant impact on children, due to rapid changes and direct losses in their family and neighborhood environment. For this reason, in the context of an emergency, decision-making must guarantee the right to life, education, survival and development of children. An important line of action is to provide educational care to children in their early childhood, recognizing them as fellows of rights, in line with public policies that consider this stage fundamental for the development of human personality. This research responds to the project "Preparation of early childhood educators in emergency situations", of the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences.
