Abstract

Cuban education demands the rescue of historical memory that reveals the contribution of outstanding educators, since the research carried out does not exhaust the richness of the pedagogical work of eminent personalities who have contributed to the formation of new generations. The work of Dr.C. Esther Báxter Pérez has not been sufficiently studied, so her contributions to the development of educational work are not always known. In this sense, her work is addressed as an inexhaustible source for the education in values of children, adolescents and young people in Cuban education. Hence, the objective of the work is: to socialize the contribution of the pedagogical work of Dr. Esther Báxter Pérez to the formation of values in Cuba between 1961 and 2009, so that it favors the formation of values in Cuban education, from of the application of his legacy today.
