Abstract

The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in updating the integrated system of learning media for undergraduate teaching is one of the priorities for teachers, however, this is a complex process in which they mix and integrate in synergy different factors that go far beyond mere technological change. This article focuses on the textbook used in the teaching-learning process of science, its redefinition, strengthening and expansion of its functions, in its digital transformation, as an opportunity to achieve a student-centered process that encourages the development of intellectual activation and its self-regulation, the establishment of meaningful relationships and the motivations for learning.
