Abstract

Attention to the education of the elderly in Cuba, linked to the aging of the population, responds to the demands of socio-cultural development based on the concept of education for all throughout life. In the province of Matanzas, the University Chair of the Elderly (Cuam) reveals a group of good practices directed in correspondence to the characteristics and needs of the communities, from a perspective of the resilience with actions that propitiate the social benefit and the individual well-being. The application of pedagogical research methods made it possible to verify the results of the application of actions that favor resilience as a process that articulates with the development of the elderly. For this reason, this article presents the good practices developed as a contribution to the acceptance of the change that takes place at this stage of life.
