Abstract

From the research project “Pedagogical challenges of education in Cuba”, as part of the improvement of the Cuban Educational System, this article is about the theoretical-methodological foundation of the use of the Cuban Sign Language (CSL) through the work of the Cuban sign language (CSL) interpreters in the television teaching activities, as a perspective of integral development of the students with deafness from their home in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is emphasized on a conception of human development that respects linguistic, cognitive and communicative diversity, as an expression of equal opportunities for its educational and social inclusion. It is based on the research of different specialized bibliographies (theses, electronic databases and magazines) in the area of education for deaf people and the use of audiovisuals with an emphasis in television teaching activities.

Especialista de la Educación Especial y doctora en Ciencias pedagógicas. Participa en el proyecto de investigación de atención a los estudiantes talentos y en el de Pedagogía. Es miembro de las plantas docentes de la maestría de Educación Especial y del Doctorado en Ciencias pedagógicas.
