Participation of parents/representatives in the virtual education of their children during the covid 19 health emergency

In relation to the current pandemic, the involvement of all members of the educational community (teachers, authorities and students) is essential. The teaching-learning process requires the proper functioning of internal and external elements to be carried out successfully; one of the external aspects is the presence and participation of parents/representatives as a vital element in the development of their children/representatives. As a consequence, a research work is carried out with the following general objective: To identify the participation of parents/representatives in the student’s educational process of "Alluriquín" educational unit in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence the execution of a systematic study, which combines bibliographic-documentary and field research for the understanding of the elements of study. With a mixed approach methodology, the instrument is applied with questions aimed at evidencing the participation of parents; the results show that it is vital to have their support in order to have a positive performance. Finally, it is concluded that the support of the representatives is important within the teaching-learning process.
