Quantitative interdisciplinary research has favored the awareness of the transcendental importance of the first six years of life, and the factors that enhance the development of the personality in this stage of ontogeny.
Within the framework of the Third Improvement of the National Education System, the implementation of a comprehensive, flexible, contextualized and participatory curriculum at all educational levels and modalities is being defended. Early childhood has redirected its new curriculum to dimensions of education and development that they provide in an integrated and interdependent manner how development should occur at this stage. Due to the specific characteristics of children in early childhood with special educational needs and how their bio-psycho-social development behaves, teachers in day care centers special, they need theoretical and methodological tools to make curricular adaptations of both access and significant, and to offer a pedagogical response adjusted to children with indicators of intellectual disability.
