Abstract

This research presents partial results from the Camagüey Web Atlas Project, which allow for an understanding of the spatial distribution of indicators for Technical and Vocational Education, with a view to sustainability and governance. The objective is to characterize the spatial distribution of enrollment and teacher coverage in Technical and Vocational Education across the municipalities of Camagüey province. The research was conducted using a quantitative-descriptive approach through the use of methods such as GIS and the overlay of thematic layers. Cartographic products were obtained that allow for an understanding of the spatial distribution of Technical and Vocational Education, with a view to sustainability and governance processes. There are limitations regarding the data on teacher coverage deficits, which is a fundamental element in decision making. The Web Atlas project and the cartographic products it generates are necessary tools for understanding processes, objects, and phenomena in their spatial context, thus contributing to sustainability and local governance.
