Abstract

The work begins with an introduction where the need to study what the contents of Pedagogy as a science should be today. Search and analysis methods have been developed, as well as comparison of documents and positions regarding Pedagogy. Likewise, specialist criteria on the subject have been sought and the positions defended include the results of these studies. The works predominate in the analysis and synthesis of contemporary Cuban literature on the subject, making generalizations of certain important trends in recent times. In the results-discussion, an expansion of the contents that should be part of the body of Pedagogy as a science at present is proposed. Likewise, other content that should not be considered is analyzed. The conclusions reaffirm the ideas about the need to organize and define more correctly the contents that must be assumed by Pedagogy for its study, as well as the importance of including others to better explain the pedagogical process that occurs in the school.
