Adequate teacher preparation is essential for developing an enriching teaching and learning process. In this context, it is necessary to transform teachers' teaching methods in guiding student learning. This study addresses the need to master learning strategies that foster self-directed learning, self-assessment, and self-esteem for personal and professional growth. Educational reality has not yet achieved the desired level of student proficiency, largely due to teachers' failure to promote effective learning strategies. The essential objective of promoting learning strategies is to foster students' development in this area, enabling them to move from dependence to independence. This constitutes the foundation for developing intervention strategies aimed at achieving this goal. A mixed-methods study was conducted, proposing a methodological alternative for initial teacher training in the Early Childhood Education program at the University of Pinar del Río “Hermanos Saiz Montes de Oca.” The aim was to transform the current situation by providing teachers with the theoretical and methodological resources to promote logical schemas as a learning strategy. The validation of this approach recognizes the need for its practical implementation.
