Abstract

The need to strengthen the humanistic education of students in relation to the preservation of the environment requires an adequate treatment of the content of environmental education, with a view to achieving in these a positive transformation in the way of feeling, thinking and doing. This article contains an exposition of how to operate with a general procedure that guides the incorporation of this in the direction of the teaching-learning process of a subject, and its demonstration. The experience that is disclosed in this work comes from a scientific result that was part of a strategy of preparation in environmental education that was implemented with the teachers of the university, and that through the application of different research methods, it was possible to measure its effectiveness, evidenced in the satisfactory assessment of the participants.
