Abstract

This study investigated the impact of a teaching-learning guide for systems of linear equations on tenth-grade students. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating qualitative data from classroom observations to identify elements linked to student comprehension, along with student surveys to aid in the development of the proposed guide. The guide's impact was assessed using diagnostic and final tests. The results revealed a positive impact on academic performance, system-of-equation solving skills, and student confidence. The guide provided clear explanations, step-by-step examples, and practical exercises. An increase in the overall knowledge level was evident, with a higher percentage of students at an average level of knowledge and an increase in the number of students with a high level. Students demonstrated a better understanding of the methods and the application of the correct steps in executing the solution in an organized and efficient manner.
