Emotional exhaustion and academic performance in adolescents

Emotional exhaustion is one of the variables that can affect the academic performance of students at the secondary education level. The objective of this article was to carry out a bibliographic review about the relationship between the variables of emotional exhaustion and academic performance in high school students, thus taking into account the results that several authors had in their research on the subject. The methodology used was the bibliographic review of researches found in academic pages like Scielo, Dialnet, Google Scholar, national and international college repositories. The results of the reviewed research tell us that the majority of the population, which leads to adolescents experiencing a certain degree of emotional exhaustion, leading to academic performance decreases. It is possible to conclude that emotional exhaustion is inversely related to academic performance.
