Abstract

Physical Education and Physical Recreation play a responsible role with the education of the physical condition of sectors of the population: children, adolescents and older adults, closely related to health. However, physical condition for a healthy life is not always focused from the educational dimension. Currently, research provides valuable elements to understand that, by educating physical condition, the bases for the healthy functioning of human beings are being structured, given in aspects such as the development of strength in schoolchildren from primary school, among other abilities; initiation into basketball; care for students with chronic non-communicable diseases and the conservation of physical and mental abilities in older adults. The objective of this work then refers to analyzing the relationship, from an educational approach, between physical condition and health and various achievements linked to physical activity in diverse sectors of the population. From a non-experimental design, under the qualitative approach, theoretical methods are used for the bibliographic review, literature from the Google Scholar, Dialnet, Latindex and Latinrex databases that address these aspects is analyzed. It is an important step to direct physical fitness education from both Physical Education and Physical Recreation, taking into account the importance of physical fitness for vital activities in all population sectors.
