The right to education involves ensuring educational quality that promotes relevant, equitable and effective learning outcomes at all levels and scenes. To achieve this, it is crucial to use methods and resources that adapt to the needs of all students and create safe and inclusive environments that consider the different paces of learning. However, in the context of this research, it is observed that the methodology used by teachers not always satisfies the needs of students with a slow learning pace, and there are not fully taken advantage of the opportunities offered by cooperative work. In this sense, the objective of this article is to substantiate the importance of providing adequate educational attention to students with a slow learning pace through cooperative work. The main results support the need to implement cooperative work with these students, not only to improve their performance and learning results, but also to encourage the inclusion of all students and promote coexistence in a diverse environment. Furthermore, it stands out that cooperative work can boost motivation, self-esteem and confidence in students.
