Recreational activities in the motor skills of students in the sixth year of basic education

Abstract

The present investigation arises from the need detected in the students of the sixth year of Basic General Education of the "Pilahuin" Educational Unit, due to the pandemic difficulties have been evidenced in the motor skills of the learners, which has generated shortcomings in the process educational. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to design recreational activities based on the curricular blocks, skills with performance criteria provided by the Ministry of Education. Therefore, the research approach used is mixed. To obtain results, it is based on the quantitative approach when applying a diagnostic test which showed shortcomings in the motor development of the students, therefore the difficulty in developing the skills and abilities in the subjects. The survey technique revealed the children's disinterest due to traditional learning. In addition, the qualitative approach through the detailed search of bibliographic information in university repositories and indexed databases allowed the theoretical foundation. Problem that directs us to implement strategies that address the study topics based on recreational activities that motivate students to raise their performance and acquire significant learning. Its application proved to improve motor skills and the development of skills and abilities that support the educational process, through teacher monitoring. Determining the relevance of the product, being endorsed by the highest authority of the institution in the face of changes in the population under analysis.
