Methodological strategies for the development of pronunciation and communication in the english language

The purpose of this article is to emphasize the teaching of pronunciation as a significant component of oral communication, being this an indispensable support in the exchange of information. Therefore, the development of a good pronunciation to become essential, encourages teachers who teach the English language as a second language integrate methodological strategies that serve as support in the treatment of pronunciation. In relation to this, the present study allowed to incorporate a set of activities as a strategy for the development of pronunciation in this language; as a result, a research was applied with a mixed approach, and this was based on the development of a questionnaire for the implementation of a survey aimed to teachers of the Language Center of an Institute of Higher Education; In addition, two evaluations were adapted to the students, one as an initial diagnosis to verify the current state in the handling of pronunciation and, another of a formative type with which it was possible to demonstrate a better performance in the development of this practice due to the inclusion of methodological strategies. The results of the same determined that the application of these strategies contributed significantly to the performance of the students, allowing to enhance more effectively the elements of speech.
