The objective of this article is reveal through analysis the foundations and distinctive features of the theoretical and methodological conception of the Cuban School of Literacy and Education for Young People and adults since the Gean Literacy Campaign in 1961 until the Third Improvement of Education al present, as well as the foundations, results, visibility, impact and its transcendence over time at the national and international level through scientific evidence and cooperation actions developed by Cuban collaborators in different countries of the world.
