EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS AND ITS ROLE FOR EDUCATION IN THE ETHICAL USE OF TECHNOLOGY

The transition from industrial society to the society it is based on knowledge. Science and technology occupy a privileged place in this transit. Also those can be used to generate social welfare and solve different economic, social or environmental problems, but they could too, used to damage or destroy. Therefore, there must be limits when using the learning acquired with the technologies. For education systems it is a great challenge. Students must prepare for a more technological and complex future, but they must also learn the limits in their use. A technological tool ,that provides conditions and allows to promote capacities and abilities from the teaching-learning process is educational robotics. This facilitates the understanding of reality and the development of important skill to transform it. This can be used, as a means both in the disciplines of the general curriculum and in extracurricular or extraeducational activities. This document considers the role of educational robotics in the formation of ethical values. For this purpose, an art study was carried out, in order to propose a way to solve this challenge.
