Abstract

The constant increase in both the proportion and the absolute number of people over 60 years of age is a real event on a global scale, hence the approach of many countries to create favorable situations that allow improving the environment of the elderly, with emphasis In the opportunities offered by education, the authors in the article refer to current arguments of the problem and the look at adult education based on Cuban praxis and the care actions that the country performs at this important stage of life . The importance of education is argued for coherent action from intersectorality in order to transform the quality and lifestyle of the elderly.
