Abstract

The article addresses the particularities and some foundations of school television programming, as one of the responses of the Cuban Educational System to the crisis caused by COVID-19. The current educational television activities are emphasized as curricular programs with an integrating and guiding nature that respond the objectives of each educational level. With the interruption of the school year, which influences the lives of the students, their families and teachers, a system of actions has been projected aimed at reducing its impact, through distance teaching-learning strategies, with the use of television, that guarantee the equalization of opportunities to avoid or minimize the differences during the crisis. Education has the potential to contribute the protection of children, adolescents and young people, helps and contributes to maintaining a certain normality during the crisis, and to recover more quickly.

Profesora titular e investigadora del Instituto Central de Ciencias Pedagógicas; Máster en Educación Especial, Doctora en Ciencias Pedagógicas. Se desempeña actualmente como Jefa del proyecto “Retos pedagógicos de las educación en Cuba” y Jefa del Programa nacional de ciencia, tecnología e innovación “Problemas actuales del Sistema educativo cubano. Perspectivas de desarrollo”.
