Abstract

The importance of early childhood, from 0 to 6 years of age, is unquestionable, since at that stage an intense process of growth, development and maturation takes place in the human being, which is expressed in the achieving level from the neurobiological point of view and in the consequent development of motor, linguistic and social skills that promote cognitive development. All these changes can be supported with timely early intervention using a program that is based on the collection of methods as: Multisensory, global, playful and systemic. The objective of this article is to reveal, from its theoretical foundations and practical results, the importance of early preventive, comprehensive and permeable intervention of psychomotor retardation aimed at the benefit of early childhood and the improvement of the quality of life both for all children, whether or not present some kind of special educational need.
