PERSPECTIVES OF THE INTEGRATION OF ICT IN THE CUBAN PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in educational processes is a topic that stimulates debate in the academic community of the different institutions of higher education and generates different points of view on how to achieve it, what obstacles should be to consider and what perspectives of solution must be assumed from the educational needs and problems, as well as the technological and pedagogical conditions with which it is counted and those that are to be developed. In this paper we analyze how strategies and models of ICT integration in education are developed in the Latin American context; highlighting the position of Cuba and in particular the actions planned and developed over thirty years in the pedagogical university where the author works.
