PEDAGOGICAL PROGRAM FOR THE UPDATE IN GERIATRICS AND GERONTOLOGY

Abstract

The systematization carried out as a result of theoretic investigations permitted an approach to the aging population process, and also permitted to go deeply into particularities of the medical basic staff of health as the most responsible of the population’s health care. Using empirical investigations permitted to characterize the initial state of medical staff’s human behavior showing the problems to solve and potentialities. The abstractions process had the possibility to design a pedagogical programme which will be used by medical basic staff to improve such topics: geriatrics and gerontology focusing not only in biological and also in sociological and psychological aspects from Pedagogical point of view permitting integration of conceptions Advanced Education and the content of attention to older people supporting in multimedia programme. It was achieved excellent results with the application of this programme. The results have to do with the positive valoration of the specialists’ consult and also the satisfaction test applied to older people. The actualization of medical basic staff makes the activity more precise, having as a result the acting efficiency and high qualities.
