Abstract

UNEFM is a major public university in western Venezuela, offering diverse programs in all areas of knowledge. The objective of this study was to analyze university management from the perspective of knowledge storage and exploitation, through the opinions of professors at UNEFM's CABLO-Mauroa. To this end, a quantitative methodology with a non-experimental field design was used. The sample consisted of 62 professors, using a self-administered questionnaire with a Likert scale for data collection. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to compare percentages and establish differences. The results showed that 52.63% of the sample believed that knowledge exploitation at UNEFM CABLO-Mauroa occurred appropriately. While 30.70% disagree with this assessment, and 16.67% "neither agree nor disagree." It is concluded that the university context of UNEFM CABLO-Mauroa must be rethought, based on the opinions of its faculty, to create management strategies that allow for optimal use of the knowledge generated at this institution.
