Abstract

This paper presents the problems of developing experimental skills in the subject of Practical and Experimental Activities in the training of upper secondary chemistry teachers in primary and secondary schools. The solution to the scientific problem is the proposal of a methodology as a practical contribution. This methodology is structured around a theoretical-cognitive framework based on general and special didactics in the teaching of chemistry, the establishment of demands and requirements, the relationship between objective and content (invariants), and the experimental method in its transition from illustrative to investigative. An instrumental framework based on the procedures and stages that allow its implementation is designed to improve secondary education, closely linked to everyday situations and the active participation of students. This methodology was endorsed by specialists who considered it relevant and adapted to the changes required for improvement.
