Abstract

The objective of this article is to describe essential characteristics of a strategy for the prevention of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in early childhood, from the perspective of the work of the health rehabilitator. A quasi-experimental study was carried out, in which a strategy was applied for the prevention of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in early childhood. A selection of 12 specialists was made who work in the rehabilitation room in the health area where the “Tula Aguilera Céspedes” polyclinic is located, in Camagüey. Methods and techniques such as interviews and surveys made up of open and closed questions and documentary studies were applied. Percentage calculation was used to process the data. The assessment carried out on the strategy revealed that it has an adequate structure and corresponds to the model that supports it. In turn, the pre-experiment confirmed its practical value for the prevention of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in early childhood from the perspective of the health rehabilitator's work.
