Abstract

This article offers the results of the analysis of the professional improvement of practicing municipal Physics methodologists and heads of the Department of Exact Sciences of provincial centers, belonging to the Camagüey Pre-university Education subsystem, aimed at their preparation in institutional contexts where perform. In this sense, an epistemological study was carried out through bibliographic review and document analysis, together with the use of other educational research methods and techniques: participant observation, performance tests; The regularities that characterized the work of this figure in the province of Camagüey could be determined. It was concluded that there is a lack of integrity in the performance of the professional functions of the methodologist; The development of skills and abilities that allow them to transform the performance scenarios is insufficient, meaning the need for professionalism in the exercise of their profession, taking into account the Third Educational Improvement. Therefore, it was determined to offer a methodology for the preparation of the municipal methodologist and heads of the Department of Exact Sciences of provincial centers of pre-university education.
