Application of the clinical method during the visit pass in the community

Abstract

The methodological work constitutes a fundamental way for the permanent improvement of teachers. Within the methodological work system at the different organizational levels of the faculties and universities, there are methodological classes, being the instructional methodological class the most complex, for this reason a proposal of an instructive methodological class is offered, approached from the motivation and the stimulus to the development of creative thinking in medical students from the application of the clinical method during a visit to the community. This article was prepared starting from the experiences lived as pediatricians members of the basic health team of the Teaching Polyclinic "Carlos Verdugo" of Matanzas, in which the instability of the Specialist in Comprehensive General Medicine and teachers in the scenarios training centers located in the community and the presence of difficulties in the organization and application of the clinical method. Therefore, the main objective is to instruct teachers in the orientation of the didactic and methodological aspects and in the application of the clinical method from the activity of the Visit Pass in the Community.
