Self-inspection in educational institutions. Requirements and methodological procedures

This work is part of the studies related to the improvement of the National Education System. It is unquestionable that the improvement of quality is inextricably linked to the evaluation of the educational teaching process, whose objective is to provide information on its operation and the results obtained at the different levels, both for those who have responsibility for its direction and management, as for each of the factors that participate in it. It is required to search in the internal forces of the institutions, the most efficient responses to the requirements of the educational community. This implies achieving a system that allows obtaining valid and systemic information to measure and evaluate the behavior and efficiency in the different stages of the process and identify the factors that explain in greater proportion the achievements and insufficiencies of the institution, taking into account the performance of each of those involved in the development and results of the process, based on a dialectical-materialistic and humanistic conception that places human resources at the center of its attention. The Inspection activity contributes to the achievement of the quality of education, and consequently the process that is carried out within each institution (self-inspection).
