Abstract

The article presents a pedagogical conception for the process of patriotic education in the formation of students of the Bachelor of Primary Education, which takes place at the University of Pinar del Rio "Hermanos Saiz Montes de Oca". It responds to the objectives of the Professional Model in terms of the situations inherent to the object of the profession and is projected in correspondence with the modes of professional performance for proposing solutions to professional problems in which students in training must prepare. The conception in its structuring responds to the criteria developed and recognized by the current scientific community: foundation, objective, principles, guiding ideas and is implemented in practice through a strategy with theoretical and methodological training activities in the career and academic years, in the main integrating discipline, in the workplace and in the university extension activities programmed by the FEU. As an objective, it is aimed at the cubanism development and the pride of being Cuban as the supreme manifestation of national identity and the enhancement of civic and patriotic values that contribute to the exercise of virtuous citizenship, from the substantive university processes.
