Abstract

he objective of this presentation is focused on the contribution of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz to the formation of teachers. In the historical picture, Fidel’s prominence is expressed in the formulation of philosophical and revolutionary concepts, in the construction of theories, educational policies, pedagogical praxis, and in the accurate exercise of concrete politics. In such a perspective, the strategy of Fidel Castro was formulated in a short and long term. First in emerging plans to solve the urgent need of teachers for primary and secondary levels, and then in the development of university undergraduate and postgraduate studies for all these new teachers. Such a perspective was integrated to the ideas of the revolutionary leader about the universalization of the university and the change of its mission.
