Abstract

The new Information and Communications Technologies (TIC) are a factor of incalculable relevance in the teaching of a language, they include language laboratories, which are increasingly valued elements within educational institutions because the functions and the possibilities that those offer are greater than the traditional teaching-learning system.
From an educational point of view, the potential for expression and communication offered by language laboratories is undoubted. It is a tool with numerous advantages, since it allows acquiring, organizing and structuring knowledge.
The study of audiovisual communication arises from the invention of photography and moving image. In the beginning, these technologies allowed to study the captured reality with a more objective vision. The advancement of technology has allowed new forms of audiovisual expression; also the creation of programs that enhance the learning of a language.
In the Preparatory Ability of the University Of Medical Sciences Of Havana, one works with laboratories of third generation of Chinese origin, for Spanish's teaching as foreign language (NewClass) that offers valuable potentialities.
