THE DIGITAL IMAGE IN THE CURRENT UNIVERSITY PEDAGOGICAL PROCESS: NEW CHALLENGES

As a communication media, the image have potentialities for creating an imaginary as a way of inter-relation with the context and contribute to knowledge formation as well as the development of spirituality and values that make possible the social life. The use of images in education has been determined in each historical moment by the technological development. In nowadays context, marked by the TIC development the image play a protagonist role.
University professors have the need of be readies to affront the challenges that the TIC impose in a globalized world. This work proposes a conception that from the theory and methodology guide the actions to develop to affront those challenges.
