Abstract

This paper proposes a thematic progression in written texts, which are most often written by students. Hence, the aim is to design a system of workshops based on the grammar of the text and on the cognitive, communicative and sociocultural approaches for the treatment of the thematic progression that contribute to the production of narrative written texts in non-Spanish-speaking students. The program is revised. Besides, there are tabulated surveys and interviews made to students and teachers to find out about the different opinions and the level of knowledge acquired up to now by students. Finally, the workshop system is presented with its previous characterization that will serve as a guide for professors. There will be addressed different issues, such as, the text, characteristics of textuality, narration, typology of the texts, some proposed activities to develop the thematic progression previously developed by other authors and finally the workshop with its conceptualization. The proposal will serve to contribute to the teaching of writing with a higher quality from the psychological point of view for students to be better motivated; in addition, professors can reinforce their knowledge and learn other important ways for their performance.
