System of activities to contribute to the development of social skills in the teachers of the “Once de Noviembre” school in the city of Riobamba

Abstract

The present scientific article had as objective; establishing a system of activities to help to develop social skills in the teachers of the educational unit “Once de Noviembre” of the city of Riobamba.The methodology used was descriptive-explanatory research with a qualitative approach, theoretical methods such as the inductive-deductive method and empirical methods such as the survey were used, the population consisted of 104 teachers. The results of the application of the survey questionnaire were that several teachers do not believe that sociability with classmates and students, considering that authority should not be lost, that the trust given to the student is not good, as it would lead to overconfidence, also does not have a clear knowledge of peculiarities are social skills and finally shows interest in access training to improve their social skills. The main conclusion was; the need to implement a plan of activities to improve the dimensions of social skills, seeking to improve communication with students and fellow teachers in order to improve the educational environment and motivate students to learn with enthusiasm.
