Abstract

Computational thinking is an essential skill in the digital age. The expertise that promotes is useful for everyone. In addition, it promotes other skills such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration or problem solving. It facilitates the understanding of reality and the development of important skills to transform the reality. Programming, as an indissoluble part of robotics, is one way to configure this type of thinking. In this article you can see the state of the art about robotics in the world and the antecedents of its use in the educational levels in which Cuban national education system focuses on.
