THE TRACKING GRADUATES OF THE CAREER OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AT THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF MANABÍ: DIAGNOSTIC STUDY OF ITS CURRENT STATE

Abstract

The aim of this work is to diagnose the present condition of the graduated monitoring in the Medicine Veterinarian career of the Technical University of Manabí (TUM), by means of a descriptive study in which five sources are triangulated: surveys were applied to teaching personnel, students, graduated and employers, so as the combine application of focal group techniques and the analysis of the strength field to executives and teachers. The results obtained showed inferences which demonstrate insufficient level of knowledge, and motivation to participate, also the availability of human, material and financial basic resorts to support the development of this process, in spite of the political will and the high level of consciousness of the need to do this type of study and the doers involved. They constitute a starting point to support the design of a theoretical and functional model as the scientific product that can contribute to transform the present condition to the one desired.
