The aim of this work is to evaluate the Autonomous Homework as teaching-learning tech-nique in Biochemistry I course in Biopharmaceutical students at Catholic University of Cuen-ca, Ecuador. Following a qualitative and quantitative approach, an explanatory study was conducted, with quasi-experimental design slitting during April-September 2015. The sam-pling was not probabilistic with a sample of 20 students. A group interview was conducted to deepen the dynamics of techniques. The level of assimilation achieved in the contents of En-zymes in Week 7 and 12 of the academic period was compared. Frequency analysis and in-ferential statistics was performed using nonparametric methods (Test X2, SPSS 20.0). Signifi-cant differences were found in levels of assimilation for both moments predominating Repro-duction. Organizational and curricular aspects interfere a better result.
